A distraction-free way to watch educational videos — with a live AI tutor that discusses what you're watching in real time.
Most video platforms are optimized for watch time, not your learning. Algorithmic feeds, autoplay, and comment sections are built to keep you scrolling — not thinking.
Built from the ground up to protect your attention and deepen your understanding.
Every video is hand-picked. No clickbait, no shorts, no rabbit holes. Just documentaries, lectures, and deep dives that respect your time.
FOCUS AI listens along and brings up questions, summarizes key ideas, and challenges what you're watching — like a study partner who never gets tired.
Mid-video questions keep you engaged. Earn Focus Points, build streaks, and actually finish what you start — instead of falling into the algorithm.
Create a room, share a code, and watch the same video at the same time. Chat, react, and learn together — no autoplay, no comment drama.
Every video you watch feeds into a skill map. See which topics you know deeply, which need review, and where your blind spots are.
Videos are automatically categorized by topic — Business, Philosophy, Science, Health, Coding, and more. Filter by what you want to learn today.
Everything you need to know about FocusTube AI.
Yes, completely free. No accounts, no credit cards, no trial periods. We don't run ads, sell your data, or charge for premium features. It's a small project built for learners, sustained by a passion for focused learning — and a few cups of coffee.
FocusTube runs three AI providers in parallel and uses the fastest response. The AI is given the video's title, channel, and category, plus your watch history and interests. It can ask you questions, summarize key points, challenge ideas, and recommend what to watch next — all in natural conversation.
The core catalog is 334 hand-curated long-form videos across 13 topics — business, documentaries, science, programming, history, and more. New videos are auto-discovered via YouTube search and auto-categorized; AI-generated and low-quality content is filtered out.
All your watch history, points, chats, and skills live in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to a server. AI chats are sent to the AI provider for the duration of the request and then forgotten. Watch Together rooms exist only while the room is open.
At 20%, 50%, and 80% of a video, FocusTube asks a contextual question about what you just watched. Answer it correctly and you earn Focus Points. Get it wrong and the AI explains. It's a small interruption that dramatically increases how much you actually retain.
Yes. The whole app is responsive — desktop, tablet, and phone all work. The AI panel, watch together rooms, and video grid all adapt. On mobile, the AI moves into a slide-up panel so it doesn't crowd the player.
No account needed. No data collected. Just open the app and start learning — with a tutor right beside you.
